U.E.C. Trailers 61 & 62

The last delivery of rolling stock from the United Electric Car Co. in 1906 consisted of power cars Nos. 32-33, together with a pair of matching trailers, which were taken into stock as Nos. 61 - 62. These crossbench trailers were mounted on the smooth riding Brill Type 27CxT trucks and were equipped with hand wheel and scotch brakes. Trailer 61 is seen here at Laxey during 1989 during shunting. Trailer 62's regular running mate Car 32 has been unavailable for service since 1997, during that time 62 has undergone bodywork and paint attention and has sometimes been seen paired with Winter Saloons and Tunnel Cars on the main Ramsey service. 62 is seen here at Derby Castle during August 2001.
